Challenge

Island Bitcoin hosts a monthly meetup in Kingston that brings together seasoned Bitcoin experts and people just learning about cryptocurrency and the blockchain. While the event itself offered a unique mix of education, games, music, and food and drinks, growing attendance month over month was a constant challenge. Bitcoin awareness in Jamaica is still emerging, and many potential attendees didn't know the meetup existed or assumed cryptocurrency events were only for technical audiences. The organizers needed a consistent promotional engine that could attract new faces every month while keeping the existing community engaged between events.

Solution

We developed an ongoing content and promotion strategy designed to lower the barrier to entry and make each meetup feel like an event worth showing up to — whether you're a Bitcoin veteran or completely new to the space. This included producing recap videos, event photography, speaker highlights, and educational snippets that captured the welcoming, social atmosphere of the meetups. Content was distributed across social media with a mix of organic posts and targeted promotion to reach Kingston locals interested in technology, finance, and nightlife. In-person promotion complemented the digital strategy — flyers, venue partnerships, and word-of-mouth campaigns helped drive first-time attendees who might not have encountered the event online. Each month's content built on the last, creating a growing library of proof that Island Bitcoin was the place to be.
